I hopped in the taxi and a few minutes later we picked up Stephanie. The three of us, the taxi driver, Stephanie and I, were swapping ideas about the best bakery in the area when the conversation began to change. Stephanie began to pray as she heard the words, Jesus and the Bible begin to be spoken more often in Polish. The taxi driver wrapped up our conversation as we were getting close to our destination, "As I think about faith, I think I prefer the search for answers, and not the answers themselves. In fact, I don't plan to ever reach the end of my search. I prefer seeking to finding." I was able to close the conversation by adding, "I think you will be surprised when you realize that seeking is fun, but finding the answer, i.e. truth, brings freedom." As Stephanie and I were leaving the taxi, the driver reached over, took my hand and kissed it, his eyes thanking me for a good conversation and for giving him many things to think about. I in turn was surprised at how easy the words flowed and how open he was to explore conversations about faith that he had never before considered. I knew Stephanie was praying the whole time and that the Holy Spirit was at work in that ride through the city. Stephanie is doing great and I am enjoying having the chance to work with her in Poland. She has been a great help and encouragement to me, a prayer partner, a person to laugh and process things with; a tremendous blessing that is for sure. She has been a valuable addition to the leadership team as well of FoF. We have started a web-site that is updated weekly with the students' adventures! A detail I wanted to bring to your attention. I have a new phone number that can be dialed as if you are making a call to Montana, USA, but it will ring on my phone in Poland. Please remember, however, when it is noon in Montana, it is 8pm in Poland. Give a call! Love to hear from you! (406) 282-0032 As this is the month to think about giving thanks, I want to thank you for your prayer and financial support. Without you, I wouldn't be able to be here in Poland working with the students or having conversations about faith with Polish taxi drivers! With Thanks, TheresaPS Sorry for not writing last month, my mom was in Poland and so took a couple of weeks off to spend time with her! It was great to have her here in Poland! A picture of us in Szczecin is below! Thank you for praying with me!
